About Tyro

Tyro is redefining trades education by preparing high school students and young adults for rewarding careers in construction. Focusing on carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction, our 10-week, cohort-based program integrates cutting-edge AI and VR-driven learning with classroom instruction, safety training, and crucial hands-on skill-building.

Through strong partnerships with Raleigh–Durham contractors and employers, we ensure career readiness and meaningful workplace experiences. Tyro supports students beyond technical skills with job placement preparation, helping young people confidently enter and thrive in the trades workforce.
